Resource Leveling

Defintion

A resource optimization technique in which activity (or overall project) start and end dates are adjusted based on the availability of resources. The goal of resource leveling is to restrict resource use to a certain 'level'. This technique is used to ensure that resources aren't spread out too thin or get burnt out through overuse.
